- Short Grain Rice or Tukada - 100 gm
- Full Cream Milk - 1 kg
- Sugar - 200 grams or to taste
- 4-5 cardamom seeds (crushed)
- 15-20 Raisins
- 10-15 Almonds (chopped)
- 5-7 strands of saffron
- 10-15 Cashew nuts (chopped)
Recipe:-
- Wash rice properly and let them soak in water for 20-25 minutes.
- Soak raisins in water for 10-20 minutes.
- Take a deep frying pan and pour milk in it till it boils.
- Now add washed & soaked rice to boiled milk. Keep flame low and start stirring the rice & milk mixture with serving spoon. Cook until the rice is soft and milk is creamy & reduced about to half.
- Add sugar, saffron, almonds, cashew nuts, cardamom seeds and raisins. Mix them properly with kheer and turn off the flame after 4-5 minutes.
- Rice Kheer is ready and can be served warm or chilled as you like.
