Chawri Bazar Food Joints

Place: - Chawri Bazar lies to the west of Jama Masjid in Old Delhi. It can be reached by Chawri Bazar Metro Station. Famous food joints & their delicacies not to be missed as follow:-

(1) Shyam Sweets (Matar Kachori Wale): - It is located on Barshabulla chowk near Dehati Pustak Bhandar. As the name of the shop suggests we tried first their Matar Kachori. They served 2 Matar Kachoris and aloo subzi for 30 rupees. Stuffing in Kachoris was just awesome, it would be difficult to stop yourself. It is a must-must try here. Then we had Rasmalai, which was authentic and very nice. They also sell Halwa Nagori (till 9 AM) and Bedmi Poori (till 11 AM.

Chandni Chowk Food Joints

Place:- Chandni Chowk is a famous market in Old Delhi (110096). It is just opposite the famous Lal Quila (Delhi). So to be there reach first at Lal Quila (Red Fort) which is just 2-3 kilometers from ISBT bus stand and little less far from Old Delhi & New Delhi Railway stations. Chandni Chowk has it's own Metro Station. Chandni Chowk starts with Jain Temple near Red Fort and extends till Fatehpuri Masjid. The entire stretch is dotted with legends but there are some mediocre food joints and corporate big names like MacDonald's and Haldiram. We tried some of the famous legends and will take you there through this blog. You can park your Car in a nearby well managed parking place.

How to be there (Food Joints):- Be at Lal Quila (Red Fort). Take your towards Red Fort and You will have the famous Chandni Chowk market in front of you. Several battery operated and manual rickshaws operate. Just ask anyone to take you to Fatehpuri Masjid. It is at T-Point. Here Start the famous food trail.

(1) Chaina Ram Sindhi Sweets (Since 1901): - This place is at the left side of Fatehpuri Masjid. This place is institution in itself and they are hot favorite in walled city area. Their Karachi Halwa (super duper item), Gulab Jamun, Paneer Pakoda, Cholle Puri and other items are also awesome. They prepare in pure desi ghee. You might feel the pinch of price being at old shop but guys it's worth the taste.

(2) Gole di Hatti: - Now move towards right from Fatehpuri Mosque is in front of you, right at the entry of Khari Baoli there is a very old Dhaba kind of place. Here taste takes precedence over style and elegance, so guys at Delhi - 6 please forget that elegance for few minutes for the sake of taste and try their Chawal Cholle Pakak, which they serve in Kulhad (earthen pot). I can bet, you will love it. Super Yummy. I won't say rest of their items are super but you not that bad. They remain closed on Sunday.

(3) Giani's :- If you are at T-point & Fatehpuri Mosque is in front of you, then move towards right for 15-20 steps. It is next to Gole di Hatti. Giani's is another super legend. You will see crowd eating faluda kulfi there as if they are serving for free in langar. But guys it is not for free. The craze is so much that place is studded with people for the whole day. It is the best I have till date and must try. They also server Moong Dal Halwa and Gajar Ka Halwa but in winters and both of these are also one of the best. It remains open on Sundays as well.

(4) Kakke da Dhaba: - It is just next to Giani's. Their Dhuandhaar Stuffed Naans are specialty of this place. Naans are very large or would say king size. Also must try at this place are Paneer Butter Masala and Dal Makhani. So these three items are must try. People residing in nearby Hotels ask waiters to bring food from this Dhaba and enjoy their delicacies.

(5) Natraj Dahi Bhalle: - It is one of the most popular corner shop for Dahi Bhalle and Aloo Tikki. Good One and can try.

(6) Old Famous JalebiWala: - This guy makes awesome Jalebis, you would love it.

It would be great if you provide your feedback and let us know how helpful our blog is.

Crums Bakes & Cakes (Vasundhra Enclave, Delhi-110096)

This place has awesome pastries, patties (veg & non-veg), biscuits, buns and other bakery stuff. Their preparations are really nice and it would be difficult to find any competitor (in terms of taste) in nearby Vasundhra Enclave and Mayur Vihar Phase -3 area. Cream and breads in pastries are fresh. Hygiene is top priority here. The only thing which might pinch you is the cost which is little on the higher side but guys still they are the best.

This was full paisa vasool. If you are in nearby area like Mayur Vihar Phase-3, Vasundhra Enclave, Noida sector - 11 & 12 then this is a must try place.
